Journalistic outputs
These 4 Journalistic Outputs are the second major public output of the EUR(H)OPE project, and are the direct results of the imagination, creativity, skills, and efforts of the 20 young participants from Morocco, Albania, Italy, and Spain who participated in the project’s Youth Exchange in Barcelona, Spain from 7-11 July 2025.
After taking part in an intensive training of 5 workshops aimed at developing narrative and audiovisual production techniques, the youth participants engaged in a guided process of creating, producing, editing, and presenting their own collective audiovisual/ journalistic outputs in 4 intercultural groups. Participants organized themselves into groups of 4-8 young adults according to their narrative interests and preferred storytelling formats, then received mentorship to elaborate their collective audiovisual pieces from start to finish. On the final day of the Youth Exchange, they presented their finished products, along with professional posters and taglines they created for the pieces, and an explanation of their creative and production processes.

From Roots to Routes (artistic short documentary film, 6’05”)
From Roots to Routes is a short documentary film that explores the personal experiences of 8 young women surrounding migration and cultural identity. Here, they share their stories and artistic aspects of their varied cultures, highlighting the ways young migrant women carry their roots with them no matter where they go.
This film was created by Sara Kaollup, Gaia Pepati, Carola Pepati, María Jimena Neira Niño, Coco Rivas, Laura Gutiérrez Molano, Hafida Elhariti, and Ágota Ráhel Tóth.
LOOP 20% (short film, 2’16”)
LOOP 20% is a short film that highlights the common fate of immigrants everywhere: bureaucracy. The film recreates the sensations and experiences of applying for leave to remain in any country, evoking the common feeling of an endless loop of appointments, documents, and the patience needed to achieve your papers in a country that is not your own. Its protagonists are names on a list, with their lives on hold.

Where You Stand! (short documentary film, 6’45”)
Where You Stand! is a short documentary film that explores the power of your passport and the discrepancies between the opportunities available to young people who are citizens of countries within and outside of Europe. Featuring both statistics and the real-life experiences of young participants in the EUR(H)OPE project’s Youth Exchange, the film highlights the different opportunities afforded to different people, according to where you were born.

Paessagio Micelio (experimental audiovisual/ soundscape piece, 1’36”)
Paessagio Micelio is a short experimental audiovisual/soundscape piece that explores how migration, identity, and memory intersect and interweave at the personal and collective levels. Here, the intersection between our memories and identities creates a new collective landscape where we are all combined in a unique narrative to dream.
